Event Details

The Mini Soccer World Cup Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2022, at Mazzocchi Park, bringing together U8/9 and U10/11 players for a fun, inclusive day of soccer inspired by the spirit and diversity of the FIFA World Cup. The festival emphasizes fair play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and equal participation in a non-competitive environment where scores are not recorded. Players will represent countries from around the world, with teams encouraged to wear colours, wave flags, and celebrate their assigned nation. Throughout the day, families can enjoy food vendors, activities, and a festive atmosphere, culminating in a Parade of Nations and closing ceremony with medals presented to all participants.

Registration Opens: May 15, 8 am
Registration Closes: Wednesday June 3 by midnight or when divisions are full
Due to the number of memorable events that development players have available to them, recreation players will have priority registration for the mini world cup for one week, from May 15 - May 27, 2026.  Development players can register to the waitlist and then will be pulled in starting May 27, 2026.
For fairness, teams will be made by the MWC committee. When registering, your child can request up to 2 teammates and we will do our best to ensure kids are with at least one friend.
The max number of players per division is listed below:
U8/9 girls only -24 players
U8/9 coed - 48 players
U10/11 girls only - 24 players
U10/11 coed - 48 players
This is a parent led event, meaning team leaders/coaches can be any parent, sibling, relative that's 16+ and will help sub off players during their game and ensure fair game play. There are other volunteer roles and help that is needed for this event to be a success that adults can sign up for closer to the event.
