Reynold Stewart has been a full time coach for the last 10 years with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC academy in the Kootenays. During some of that time he was also an assistant technical director with Nelson Soccer Association and has supported our program in different capacities, including our summer camp starting next week! Prior to coaching, Reynold was a semi-professional soccer player with Vancouver Whitecaps 2, and had a post-secondary soccer career with UBC and Douglas College.![]()

Reynold is extremely passionate about promoting a lifelong love of soccer in youth as well as developing physical literacy and social skills through the sport. When not on the field, Reynold can be found spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters, mountain biking, or playing tennis.![]()

Soccer in Rossland" will be on display at the Prestige Mountain Resort from June to September 2026. This exhibit explores the anecdotes, athletes, and community spirit that have and continue to make the sport great. Featuring the A.S. Goodeve Cup from the Rossland Industrial League and a Rossland Youth Soccer jersey, "Goooal!" highlights the foundations and future of soccer in Rossland.![]()

The Mini Soccer World Cup Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2022, at Mazzocchi Park, bringing together U8/9 and U10/11 players for a fun, inclusive day of soccer inspired by the spirit and diversity of the FIFA World Cup. The festival emphasizes fair play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and equal participation in a non-competitive environment where scores are not recorded. Players will represent countries from around the world, with teams encouraged to wear colours, wave flags, and celebrate their assigned nation. Throughout the day, families can enjoy food vendors, activities, and a festive atmosphere, culminating in a Parade of Nations and closing ceremony with medals presented to all participants.![]()

Reynold Stewart has been a full time coach for the last 10 years with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC academy in the Kootenays. During some of that time he was also an assistant technical director with Nelson Soccer Association and has supported our program in different capacities, including our summer camp starting next week! Prior to coaching, Reynold was a semi-professional soccer player with Vancouver Whitecaps 2, and had a post-secondary soccer career with UBC and Douglas College.![]()

Reynold is extremely passionate about promoting a lifelong love of soccer in youth as well as developing physical literacy and social skills through the sport. When not on the field, Reynold can be found spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters, mountain biking, or playing tennis.![]()

This exhibit explores the anecdotes, athletes, and community spirit that have and continue to make the sport great. Featuring the A.S. The Mini Soccer World Cup Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2022, at Mazzocchi Park, bringing together U8/9 and U10/11 players for a fun, inclusive day of soccer inspired by the spirit and diversity of the FIFA World Cup. The festival emphasizes fair play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and equal participation in a non-competitive environment where scores are not recorded. Players will represent countries from around the world, with teams encouraged to wear colours, wave flags, and celebrate their assigned nation. Throughout the day, families can enjoy food vendors, activities, and a festive atmosphere, culminating in a Parade of Nations and closing ceremony with medals presented to all participants.![]()

Join our 4-day summer camp for players aged U9-U13 @ Millenium Park from July 13th - 16th. The camp is open to players of all abilities and will be a week of fun, skill development, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment. Camp will be run by head coach Reynold Stewart with youth staff leading activities and providing their expertise. This is a perfect place to play for those experienced players and those new to soccer and just want to try something new for the week. Every camper will receive an official KSYSA Summer camp t-shirt.![]()

The KSYSA board recently approved a Kickstart fund for families that have qualified for financial aid. It allows for an extra $200 of help from KSYSA. This can go towards registration fees, kit cost, tournaments costs, etc.![]()
