The KSYSA Board is thrilled to kick off an exciting season!

After an extensive strategic planning process and consideration of the feedback we received throughout previous seasons and from our Thought Exchange, we’ve made decisions that we believe will benefit our community.

We will be updating our registration system to Team Snap and have this new website! A great deal of time and effort has gone into shaping these plans, and we kindly ask for your patience as we implement new systems.

Our Spring Recreational program is divided into Mini (U6-U10) and Youth (U12 - U18) and provides players an opportunity to develop skills and have fun. This league generally runs from May through June, kids have two field times per week, and the potential for a couple of special events (depending on volunteer commitment).

Our development program is for U10 - U18 players that want to extend their season and play in tournaments. This league generally runs March through September with 3 field times per week, a one month summer break and have the opportunity to attend a minimum of 2 tournaments depending on their age.

Our Fall/Winter Indoor program is a recreational program that provides U10 - U15 players an opportunity to develop skills and have fun. Our fall program runs October to December.  Our winter program runs January to February.

A reminder that U4/U6 is a hands-on division Parent Led division. For many children this is their first introduction into organized sports. They will need their parents close by. Do not be surprised if your child is distracted, maybe wants to hold hands with their friend on the opposing team, or maybe is sitting on the grass refusing to move. This is all normal. Parents will be on the field with their children throughout the sessions, and an active part of the activities. ... See MoreSee Less

Coaches!!!We are quickly approaching the dates for the practical part of your grassroots soccer course. For full certification, you must complete the online portion AND the practical portion of the course. Many of you have completed both components, but quite a number of you have completed the online portion, but not the practical portion. The practical course will be most beneficial to you as a coach for the upcoming season. Please register for the practical portion of your course (if you have not yet completed it) as soon as possible. This is done through your coachcentre.ca account. If you have not yet completed the online portion of the course sent to you, please finish it ASAP so you have time to register for the practical portion. If you need a grassroots course, please email Brian at ksysacoach1@gmail.com so you can get set up.If you do not know if you have been certified, check your coachcentre.ca account under certifications. If this fails, let Brian know and he will check the BC soccer coach database.Currently, we do not have sufficient numbers in the practical courses for them to be held, so please register ASAP. ... The effort and support to kick off a U10 girls development team and the other work to support girls in soccer - keep it up!

I appreciated the dedication of coaches and managers.  Kept the kids and parents engaged.

I wish we had an indoor facility for continuity of programming through out the year.

Inclusive - open to all!

Development coaching was great, kids did well with the games-based approach.  Coaching was consistent, adaptable to kids needs, and provided lots of skill development.

I found the coaches included each child in the games.  Every child should feel a part of the team and get to play.
